Amanda Rock
Amanda graduated from Liverpool University in 1998 with credits in both farm and small animal studies. Her love of scuba diving drew her to west Cornwall where she worked in mixed practice for 4 years, before making the decision to concentrate on small animals. Since the birth of her daughter, Amanda has worked weekends at the Veterinary Hospital and she has an active role in the education of the veterinary nurses, being both an assessor in the practice and a lecturer at a veterinary nurse college. She is currently studying for her post graduate certificate in education.
Writing journal articles and veterinary texts keeps Amanda busy when she is not at work and as well as contributing to four veterinary nursing textbooks she has a veterinary pharmacology textbook being published next year.
The current menagery consists of a merle collie, a curly coated retriever, a cat called fish, rabbits, guniea pigs, chickens, budgies, love birds, a kakariki and a handsome pig called Wycliffe.
