Referrals - Internal medicine
Jasmine Malm BVM&S MRCVS has recently enrolled to do an RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine (CertSAM). Internal medicine covers many diseases of the internal organs e.g. liver and kidney disease as well as touching on skin and heart disease. Many medicine problems involve dysfunction of the endocrine system which produces many different hormones to control body systems.
This certificate involves a minimum 2 year course of study. During this time a detailed casebook must be approved before the final examination can be sat and passed. During the period of study Jasmine is keen to take on medicine cases to both use and develop her expertise.
