Angel the Chicken

Angel, a rescued ex-battery hen owned by Lorraine Fox of Plympton, is the latest to receive our Braveheart award.

Angel was laying extremely large eggs which resulted her prolapsing through her cloaca. This was replaced under general anaesthesia in a procedure called a cloacapexy.
